Matthew Abaya studied filmmaking at the College of San Mateo and San Francisco City College with a degree in Asian American Studies at San Francisco State University. His work ranges from short horror narratives to music videos for indie rock bands. Matthew currently teaches Digital Multimedia to at risk youth in the East Palo Alto area while working on his first feature length horror film based on his short film “Bampinay”, an official selection to Hawaii International Film Festival, San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival and Los Angeles Asian American Film Festival.
